Extruded polystyrene XPS

Company:

Category:

Extruded polystyrene (XPS) is a closed-cell rigid foam produced by extruding polystyrene, and is distinct from expanded polystyrene (EPS). It has a homogeneous structure, higher density and therefore better compressive strength and water resistance than EPS.
Thanks to its low thermal conductivity, XPS offers excellent insulating properties. It is rot-proof, resistant to ageing and not very elastic, but sensitive to UV rays. It can be cut with a hot saw, milled and welded.
XPS is mainly used in the construction industry for the insulation of roofs, plinths, attics, damp rooms and perimeter insulation. It is also used in signage, advertising displays and visual communication for events.
