Recycled PET panels

Company:

Category:

These acoustic panels are made from 100% post-consumer recycled PET, the same thermoplastic polymer used to make common plastic bottles. For every square metre of panel, an average of about 70 PET containers are reused, converting plastic waste into a high-performance secondary raw material. The PET is first regenerated and spun into polymer fibres, which are then thermally compacted into self-supporting panels characterised by low density, good dimensional stability and a felt-like appearance, while ensuring high mechanical and acoustic properties.

The entire production process is designed according to sustainable and circular design principles. Once the sheets have been obtained, they can be processed using CNC cutting or other precision finishing techniques, allowing for the creation of customised solutions such as sound-absorbing wall coverings, suspended elements, partition panels and interior design components with acoustic functions.

A key element of the company’s philosophy is product life cycle management. The panels are designed to be fully recyclable at the end of their useful life: the company collects the discarded modules, grinds them into flakes and reuses the material obtained as input for the production of new panels or other acoustic products, with a view to closed-loop recycling.
